Hi! Hope everyone had a beautiful Christmas. I certainly did! My boys got spoilt rotten and had an absolute ball. For me, Christmas is all about seeing the excitement and joy on their faces. The magic of Christmas really does lie in the hearts of our children. Anyways, as they run wild this afternoon playing with all their new toys I thought I would get creative. My mum recently got some photos of her and my dad on their wedding day printed out. Of course I needed a copy. This morning I ended up stopping at Kaisercraft and grabbing a few bits and pieces. I chose a few bits from the After Five Collection thinking of my parents wedding photo.... and voilĂ
Okay, so it's no masterpiece... but I did have quite a few interruptions... and a rather large argument with the big Kaisercraft flourish lol. I didn't just want the black and grey tones so I eventually (have I ever mentioned how much trouble I have with making decisions lol) decided to go with a bit of red... although I'm still wondering if that was the right decision lol. I've used a Purple Pumpkin button and also pulled apart one of the star embellishments so I could use the red diecut at the back. Finally I've used my Spellbinders Grand Shapeabilities to make the butterfly. The red is darker in real life... so it doesn't seem to take over as much as it does here... but oh well. This sketch was great and if you're really quick you can join the fun! Head over here to see the sketch and all the wonderful creations using it :-) Thanks for stopping by and hope you're having a beautiful day xoxox

Purple Pumpkin November Sketch Challenge
Hi,
Well I've sat down today and completed another layout. It's based on the November Sketch Challenge over at Purple Pumkin. I really just wanted to do something for me today. It may sound selfish, but every now and again I feel like my entire life revolves around keeping everybody else happy.
Anyways, here is my take on the sketch!
This sketch was really easy to work with and I love the end results :-) Head here if you would like to see the details of the sketch CT's amazing examples.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a fabulous day!

Stuck Sketches - November 15th Sketch!
Hellooooooooooo!!! I've started and finished a layout in less than two hours! A-MAZ-ing! Anyway... this is using the most recent sketch from Stuck Sketches. Loved this sketch... definitely my kind of layout :-)
Here's the sketch --->
...and here's my take on it --->
A rather simple layout. I've stuck very closely to the sketch, just rotated my photo. Nothing very technically difficult here either, just cut and paste really... but SO happy with the end result :-) It makes it easy when you have lots of great products...
Core'dinations embossed card stock.
Jillibean Soup - Spotted Owl Soup collection
A Li'l Somethin' hearts, hessian and button
Bella! - Glittered Chipz
Kaisercraft bling
Carolee's Creations mini alphas
Oh... it also helps when you have a SUPER DUPER cute li'l boy!!! How lucky am I???! .... I have not one, but two of them :-)
Here's the latest photo of Evan :-) He LOVES all creatures great and small and thought it was just the bees knees when daddy caught this dragon fly (on his last legs unforunately) and he got to have a hold. He was so gentle with it and when he let Royce have a hold he made sure he told him to be gentle with it too... SO cute! Take a look at Roycey's daggy shorts lol... he loves them :-b
Yep... SO LUCKY to have these two beautiful boys :-) Hope you're having a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by. Oh... and head here to check out the sketch, the DT's fabulous examples and the other stunning entries :-D
P.S. I apologies for my over use of capitilizations, smilies and punctuation... but sometimes when you're in a great mood it definitely feels necessary ;-)

A couple of layouts and a card!!!
Hi all! Well now the market is all done (a great day had by all and lots of money raised for the school :-) ) I have been able to scrap a little. I want to show you a double layout and a card. These have both used Jillibean Soup's Spotted Owl Soup range. I was luck enough to win this from Kathie's blog as part of the Get Picky blog hop!!! How lucky was I!!! Absolutely love this range... and still have HEAPS left! More layouts and cards to come he, he, he.
Anyway, here's my layout...
And here's my card...
How cute is that paper!
Thought I also might quickly add a layout that was recently published in Scrapbooking Memories. It's my fourth publication :-O I never thought any of my work would ever be good enough to be published.. but this is my fourth!!! Just a little excited :-) I don't think I will ever be one of the 'well known' names in the scrapping world, but gee it's nice to see a few of my layouts in a mag. I don't think I've shared my three previous ones... hmmm... maybe another day :-)
Anyway, here it is...
This is a very special layout... it's the first one I've done about Evan being diagnosed with Autism. The letter under the photo just lets him know that I love him... no matter what. He truely is one beautiful little boy... we really are so very blessed xoxox Well that's it from me for today. Hope you are having a beautiful day and thank you for stopping by :-)

The Chip Chop Shop Giveaway!
A really quick post this morning before I head out to get all my bits and pieces done for the day. Before I head out I thought I would catch up on some blog surfing as I really haven't been near the computer for a couple of days :-O I couldn't help but notice there is a giveaway happening on Leeann Pearce's blog. She has an Etsy store, The Chip Chop Shop, where you can find some beautiful hand made embellishments for scrapbooking or card making! I have some of here gorgeous stuff still sitting in my stash just waiting for the right scrap page/card to use it on... yes I'm one of those scrappers who tends to save the 'good stuff' lol. Anyways, I couldn't go past this giveway. Head over here to Leeann's blog to see how you go about being part of the giveaway or head to the shop to have a look at all the yumminess :-) I've added a picture below to get you started! Thanks for stopping by and hope you are having a beautiful day xoxox

Get Picky 1st Birthday Blog Hop!
Good afternoon! I have just had the most lovely morning. I've been for a walk, picked up my new/spare battery for my camera and even squeezed in some scrapbooking before having a lovely long lunch with some work mates!
Anyhow, the other day I was chatting to a friend telling her I wanted to get back into my scrapbooking more and I want to do it just for me... so no more sketches, challenges etc. Well that went well LOL The page I completed this morning used the sketch for Get Picky's 1st birthday blog hop. I've said it so many times, but pages come together SO much quicker for me with a sketch. Absolutely LOVE this sketch... and have no doubt that I wouldn't have been happy with the result had I completed this layout with out the sketch. It would have also taken me a few weeks to finish rather than a few hours :-) Anyway... here is the sketch
Head over to Get Picky if you want to see the DT's work and the other entries so far... one word... aMAZing! There are also prizes up for grabs if you participate in the blog hop!!!
OK - here is my layout:
Geez... you think I could have straightened up those little red pom poms before I took the photo hey! Anyway, I've used photo's of my beautiful boy helping Grandma make plum puddings last year. And yes... I still have all last years Christmas photos to scrap too :-O Can't believe it is already coming up to that time of year again... yikes! The paper range is S.E.I. Winter Song... probably one of my favourite paper ranges to date. The stickers are from Jillibean Soup and the cute red and white pins are from A Li'l Something. SO happy with the layout. It took me ages to figure out where to put the title... I'm not sure about you, but the title is always an afterthought on my layouts. I usually know what it will say, but never really think about how it will be done or where I will put it until I've pretty much stuck everything else down... oh well... at least there is a title. A lot of my earlier layouts don't even have one :-/ Anyway that's about it from me. I'm going to do a bit of cleaning before I pick my two beautiful boys up. Thanks for stopping by and hope you're having a wonderful day xoxox

Mad for Markers Monthly Challenge - Favourite Copic Colour Combo
G'day! I've got a wedding to go to this weekend and it looks like it's going to be beautiful weather for it :-) So anyway, I decided to have a go at making a shaker card for the lovely couple. This would have to be the most detailed card I have ever made, I think it was definitely worth the effort! Here it is --->
I've used a couple of images from Happileigh Scrapbooking and lots of Kaisercraft flowers and pearls. You can see the glitter in the bottom of the image... I think I may have gone a little overboard LOL. I'm going to enter this into the Mad for Markers challenge - Favourite Copic Colour Combo. I used my old trusty E11, E13 and E17. I know it's just brown, but I would say I use them more than any other colour and they just seem to work so well for me. They blend well and are great for hair and wooden objects! Although I did use BG11, BG72 and BG75 for the roses on the image and that may well become a favourite colour combo... such a pretty colour!!! Anyway that's it from me today. I hope you're having a beautiful day and thank you so much for stopping by xoxox

Mo's Challenge #101 - Autumn colours :-)
Good morning! Just a really quick post before I head to bed for a bit of a nap as I worked night shift last night. It's my hubby's birthday on Tuesday so I've made him a card (not that he gets particularly excited about his cards lol). This morning was the only chance I was going to get so I made a cuppa and got busy. I've used Mo's 'fishing' digital stamp. My husband actually watched me colour this in yesterday... so the image won't even be a surprise, but oh well, it's the thought that counts :-) Anyway, here it is --->
As you can see it's quite basic, but I'm running a bit short on time :-/ I'm happy with how it turned out all the same :-) Do you like my water??? OMG! I was a little daunted to begin with... but I kind of just kept adding colour until I was happyish... it definitely looks better from a distance LOL. I'm going to enter this into the weekly challenge at Mo's Challenge Blog as it seems to fit well with the Autumn colour theme. You can check out everyone else's beautiful work, including the design team's examples here! Well that's it from me... I better get some sleep before Darren and the boys get home and before Grandpa gets here to join us for our roast dinner... YUM! Thanks for stopping by xoxox

Dream Valley Challenge 16 - Buttons
Hi all! Just a really quick post to show a card I made for my mother-in-laws birthday :-) I used a cute little Kaisercraft stamp, my Copics and a beautiful button! I also coloured around the image using my chalks (been a while since they've been out of the drawer) as my colourless blender ran out. I'm going to enter it into the Dream Valley Challenge 16: Buttons... Now I'm not sure if it qualifies as I only have one 'button' not multiple 'buttons'. Either way I needed to make the card and I'm rather happy with how it turned out :-) Head over here to see the challenge, the design teams stunning examples and the other gorgeous entries xoxox
I'll also quickly show the card I helped my two beautiful boys make. They absolutely LOVE their Nanny and were only to happy to draw her a picture. Evan (5 1/2 y.o.) drew the picture on the front, a cockatoo looking at flowers and a love heart (cockatoos are his thing atm... darling boy) and Royce (3 1/2 y.o.) drew the rainbow on the inside (it's the ONLY thing he will draw lol). Evan also wrote 'Nanny' and 'Evan' on the inside... I'm so proud of his writing considering 12 months ago it was a struggle to get him to do any form of drawing or writing.

Dream Valley Challenges: Challenge 14
Good afternoon all!!! It's a beautiful sunny afternoon here, so this will be a really quick post before I head out to enjoy the sunshine. I've been blog surfing of late and found a new challenge blog... Dream Valley Challenges! Anyways, I thought I might give their latest challenge a go. It was a colour challenge... lemon, lime and orange :-) Probably my three favourite colours!!! So here is what I came up with --->
Well that's it from me! I'm heading out to enjoy this lovely weather. Thank you for stopping by and hope you're having a wonderful day xoxox
I've used a digital stamp from Karen's Doodles, patterned paper from Sassafrass Lass and lots of pretty flowers and bling! Head over here if you want to check out the challenge and all the awesome examples from their DT.

August 1st Stuck Sketch
Good morning! Well I have been working on my holiday album... I have decided to get it done quicker I might participate in a few challenges. Over at The Boxx I took part in their fortnightly challenge. You can view my layout for that one here. Sorry about the poor photo for that one :-/
Anyway, for the latest layout I have used a sketch from Stuck Sketches. Here is the sketch:
And here is my layout:
I got some gorgeous photos of the birdlife with my new camera while we were visiting Halls Gap. I'm slowly getting more confident using the manual settings too! To see the sketch and check out the DT examples head over here. LOVE seeing how everyone interprets sketches... I'm not particularly creative and usually stick pretty close to the sketch. The DT have done some fabulous examples!!! Well that's about it from me for now. I hope you're having a beautiful day and thank you for stopping by xoxox

A couple of layouts :-)
Hi!
Just a super quick post... A couple of layouts that I completed a little while ago that I don't think I've shown. Just look at my two beautiful boys!!! I've just returned from a beautiful weekend away scrapping with friends. There I got a good chunk of a project done that I have been wanting to start for a while now. I'll try to get some photos of it soon :-) Hope you're having a wonderful day xoxox

A double page!
When I first started scrapping I had to do double pages. Except for the first and the last page of an album... they obviously had to be singles lol However, I think I finally moved on from them a little while after my first baby was born. Maybe it was because I had less time and therefore single pages were quicker and easier. Anyway, as time went on, the amount of double pages I completed became fewer and fewer. Now I only very rarely complete a double page and it is usually only when I can't narrow the number of photos down (e.g. birthdays and Christmas). Sooo here is my latest double page!
Yep, WAY too many photos to narrow down! I don't often see layouts in magazines with this many photos and this much space taken up on the page, but hey, my scrapping isn't for everyone else it's for me! So if I want to throw as many photos on the page as I can... I will! I must admit it took me ages to glue this down. I spend way too much time blog surfing and browsing magazines and I think this can sometimes cloud my perspective. Yes pages do look nice when they're not too busy, and there's white space... but what good are they if they don't contain all the memories I'm wanting to preserve??? Sometimes I think I just need to let go of what 'looks good' and just scrap! I'm thinking I will be completing more double pages :-) Thanks for stopping by xoxox

Stuck?! ...July Sketch :-)
Well, I thought I would get in early and have a go at one of the challenge blogs! I've said it before and I will say it again... LOVE sketches. They really to help me getting my pages looking 'right'. This sketch I thought looked like my kind of sketch (if there is such a thing lol). So here is the sketch:
And here is my take:
I wasn't completely happy with it at first (all though I never am :-/)... but it's definitely growing on me :-) I've used my last of this range of paper. I'm not sure what it was called, but it's from Bo Bunny and would definitely be one of my favourite ranges I have ever used. I don't know the name of it as I was seriously down to my last teeny, tiny scraps - see that big stripey star at the bottom.... not even a whole star ;-) Oh, and look! I've used some of my cool bits and pieces from A li'l somethin' (the denim bits and bobs). Cool hey! The photo is of my beautiful boy Evan on his first day at 3 y.o. kinder... aaarrrrrrgggghhhhh I can't believe how fast time goes by. I do love seeing my boys growing and developing, but, just occasionally, I wish I could keep them little for ever xoxox
Anyhow... head over to the Stuck?! blog to see the fabulous examples from the design team and other entries... although I think I may be the first :-o
Have a great day!!!

Kaisercraft Saturday Sketch: #1 June
Hello again!
Two posts in one day... that's a record for me! This is just a quick one. I did say that I was all organised to complete another of Kaisercraft's sketches. Well yesterday I enjoyed a little bit of me time and put this layout together based on the first Saturday sketch. This actually came together really quickly (gotta love sketches and coordinated collections). This is a photo of my oldest boy and his cousin... taken almost 5 years ago!!! .....where has the time gone???
Since there is a cute little girl in the photo I took advantage and had a play with a more girly paper range (Child's Play) and flowers!!! And I even got my sewing maching out!!! Anyway, I hope you like and thank you for stopping by xoxox

A gift for a friend :-)
Hi,
I thought I would quickly share a little something I put together for my bestest friend, KRISTY! Yep, she's joined me at 'Club 30', so I wanted to do something a little special for her, since she is such a super DUPER friend. This is a candle holder thingy that Kristy mentioned she liked AGES ago. It's pretty groovy. Has the candles on top and a bottom vase type thing underneath to decorate however you like (my description is just awesome hey). It's called the 'Customisable Tealight Centrepiece' and you can get it through Partylite.
I have no idea what brand the paper is (sorry), but it's very pretty hey :-) I've just used some decorative sand and stones on the bottom with some Kaisercraft flowers and jewel buttons. The heart and bird are from Stuff 2 Scrap. Thanks for looking and I hope you're having a beautiful day xoxox
Kaisercraft Saturday Sketch: #3 June
Good morning! Well last night I headed to the Kaisercraft crop night at the Geelong Factory Outlet with a few friends. I had a great night and thought it was only appropriate to have a go at some of the Kaisercraft blog sketches since I was in the right place if I needed any more product ;-) Which of course I did! Well I ended up talking a lot, but I did manage to finish off my one and only layout this morning. I've used one of Kaisers older ranges of papers "Ever Blooming". I love the colours of this range and thought is suited my photo reasonably well (except for maybe Evan's FLOURO red jumper lol). Anyway, here is the sketch:
And here is my page:
Sorry it's not the greatest photo in the world. I've turned the sketch sideways to suit the photo. Isn't my li'l boy just the cutest in this photo! Can't believe it was taken over three years ago :-( Head over to the Kaisers blog if you want to see the DT's examples and the other entries... gee there's some talent out there :-) Well, I better be off to do some housework now. I'm all organised for one of the other Saturday Sketches so you never know, I might be back with another post before the end of the month :-o Hope you have a great day xoxox

DP2 Challenge #87
Hi all! Well I really haven't been crafting much at the moment.... just don't seem to have the time or the mojo. Although that seems to be the case all to often these days :-( BUT... I did quickly whip this card up this afternoon for Mo's Challenge Blog! Now when I say whip this up I mean it. Normally it takes me an hour or more to make a card... yes I'm very slow lol. But this came together really quickly... within about 20 minutes! That is definitely a record!!! Of course it always helps when you have an image coloured and ready to go :-D I found this kraft tag hiding when I cleaned up my scrap room. Don't you just love finding things you forgot even existed.
The cute li'l elf is sold as 'sticky' and can be found here. How cute is he!!! Anyway, I really better be off because my two boys are fighting like cats and dogs right now. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you're having a wonderful day xoxox

Mo's Challenge Blog - #86
Hi all! Well I haven't been doing a whole lot of scrapping. I did finish one page, but it has been picked up for publication, wooooohooooo! If it is accepted it will be my fourth time published :-D A couple of years ago, I never would have thought I could EVER be good enough to be published in a magazine... I must admit it's a good feeling! And I encourage everyone to give it a go, because seriously, if my work can be accepted, anyones can!!! And my one piece of advice would be don't be discouraged if you get rejection emails, keep trying :-)
Anyway, apart from that one page, I have also finished a card for my best friends 30th birthday. I've decided to enter it into Mo's Challenge Blog. Challenge #86 has the following recipe:
Anyway, apart from that one page, I have also finished a card for my best friends 30th birthday. I've decided to enter it into Mo's Challenge Blog. Challenge #86 has the following recipe:
"A Recipe for Friendship"
Take two people with common interests,
Mix together with love and understanding,
Stir in a sense of humor and a lot of compassion,
Bake for a lifetime...
and enjoy the fruits of your labor knowing that you both have made
a remarkable concoction that will last forever!
I think my card fits this. It's for my bestest friend who I've known since kinder... we've been through so many good and bad times together and I know we will always be there for each other. There is also a touch of humor to the card (Mo's image represents me giving my friend her birthday gifts... remarkable likeness I think lol) and there is also the work love inside the card. I'm still deciding whether I should have "your membership has been approved" on the inside of the card, what do you think? Any way, go here if you want to check out everyone else's take on this challange... oh and the super work of the design team! I hope you like my card and thank you for stopping by xoxox

Hi all!
Well it's been a while since I've done much scrapping, so I thought a challenge would be the way to go :-) I loved the colour combo for the June Scrap the Boys challenge, so here's what I came up with...
This is my cute little Roycey rockin' away on his wiggles guitar. SOOO cute!!! And yes, I think we were in the process of getting our pyjamas on when he decided it was time to play :-) Head over here to see other entries as well as the design teams examples because they are all A-MAZ-ING!!!
Cheers, and happy scrappin'

A Lil' Somethin' - Random Draw!!!
A fairly new blog A Li'l Somethin' are having their second sale! I completely missed out on the first one because I was having a snooze before starting my night shift. Hopefully this time I remember to check out the sale before my snooze :-) Anyway, the sale starts 7:30pm Saturday 28th May. Basically you go to the blog, check out the pretty stuff and email them what you would like. Easy!!! In the mean time they are having a Random Draw. All you have to do is blog about the sale and have a link to the blog and then comment on their post. Here is a link to the Facebook page too... a great way to keep up to date with what is happening. Go check it out!!! Here's a sample of the sort of products available...
Pretty awesome hey! With two boys, I'm just loving all the masculine handmade embellishments... although I think they would look great on girly pages too!

The Boxx fortnightly challenge
This fortnights challenge for The Boxx was to scrap a photo that didn't contain people. Well as soon as this challenge came up I new the exact photo I wanted to use. This is a photo of an old Velocette motorcycle. It's most likely a late 30's or early forties Mac (350cc), but may be a Mov(250cc). Although for some unknown reason I put 1950's on my journalling??? It was late at night... that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it LOL I'm not sure to whom the dog belongs. Something I might ask my Nan next time I see her... if I remember. I've used lots of glimmermist on this layout and crackle paint on the chipboard bikes. I made my own flowers and have used some pretty Prima centres. Well this is just a quick post as I'm about to head to bed for a snooze before I start my night shift. Thanks for poppomg by and hope you're having a lovely weekend :-)
P.S. Apologies for the terrible night time/camera phone photo Wednesday, May 11, 2011
Stuff2Scrap - May Challenge!
OMG! I've completed another layout! I have had no time/energy/mojo lately. So this morning I say down, picked out a challenge and just did it... no excuses! Here it is...
This is for Stuff2Scraps May challenge... a layout about a Mum and some chipboard. I've done a layout about how sometimes it's nice to spent time with just my Ma... with out my two terrors interrupting us every two seconds :-b I've used the 'swish' and the 'hearts #001' from Stuff2Scrap. I've coloured them and the flowers with my LuminArte pigment (moss agate) as well as my BG11 Copic Marker. My LuminArte is a product I purchased a long time ago thinking I would use it all the time... and I haven't :-/ I think it's time I really start moving outside my box and using some of the products that have been sitting on my desk or in a drawer for a little too long. Anyways, I ended up going nuts and using it on the square paper doilies as well as around the edge of the page. The paper range is from October Afternoon and those cute little yellow doilies are from The Chip Chop Shop... Love them!
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you're having a wonderful day!!!

Kraft It Up - May challenge
Hi everyone! This will be a very quick entry as I have two tired boys, with one of them being sick too :-( I have been doing very little scrapbooking lately... just seem to be so busy or too tired :-( Anyways, I did manage to do one layout over the weekend. The May Kraft It Up challenge was to use no patterned papers. I thought that sounded doable, so here it is. My apologies for the bad photo... I'm not sure why it looks so bad on here???
Okay, so my solution for no patterned papers was to fill the page up with photos, not too original I must admit. lol I probably should have made this a double page layout, but since I'm struggling to get one page done, I thought I better not go for the two :-) If you want to have a go at this challenge or check out the other entries, which I must say put mine to shame, head over to here. Thanks for taking the time to look and hope your having a great day!

A few layouts :-)
Happy Easter everyone!!! Hope you had a terrific day. I worked from midnight till 8am... then picked up my mother in-law for a feast of bacon and eggs! Then of course we did the easter egg hunt!!! The boys loved it and were sooo good with their 'sharing bucket'. The boys then headed back to Nanny's so I could get a little sleep. Alas, I did not sleep. Instead I finished off a page I started last night. Here it is...
Pretty basic, but I'm good at basic lol. I've used some of my bits and pieces I got from Pretty Little Studio as well as some Prima flowers and the chipboard mushrooms are from Stuff 2 Scrap.
Thought while I was here I would also share another couple of layouts I finished a while ago. In March I was lucky enough to be chosen as the featured member at Scrapboxx. I was so excited (I actually can't believe I forgot to blog about it until now)! Anyways, as the featured member I was sent the March Boxx of Scraps to play with. Here is the main layout for this...
I also got productive and did this layout...
And just to finish it off, a card...
I also got a few goodies so I could have a go at the April Sketch which was featured in the newsletter! Here is the sketch...
Here is my take...
Well that's just about it from me. Yesterday I finally finished a couple of layouts that I've had on the go for a while... but I might save them for another day :-) I'm just a little tired so I'm off to bed. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you had a lovely Easter xoxox
