Kraft It Up Challenge!

Hi!  Just a really quick post today to show you the layout I finished just in time for the Kraft It Up challenge.  The challenge was to use these colours:

I loved this combination and really wanted to have a go at this one.  I got it done just in time :-)  I started and finished this layout last night, so I'm pretty happy as that doesn't happen too often.  Here is my take on the challenge:

I've been wanting to do a layout with photos of my boys with their Great-Grandparents for ages!  They're not the greatest of photos, but trying to get both my boys looking at the camera at the same time is virtually impossible!  I'm pretty happy with the layout.  I hand made the flowers and also the butterflies (using Martha Stewart stamps).  And that pretty blue lace is from The Chip Chop Shop.  If you want to see more beautiful layouts from this months challenge head here... some of them are just amazing!  There is still a couple of days to go if you want to have a go!  Thanks for looking and hope you have a beautiful day!

Kaisercraft Saturday Sketch Challenge- February #2

Here is the results of having a couple of hours to myself... this and a nice clean house :-)  This is using one of the Saturday Sketches from the Kaisercraft blog.  I'm lucky enough to live in Geelong, so the Kaisercraft store is somewhere I go when I have a bit of spare change lol.  The paper is one of their earlier ranges 'Cocco'.  I bought it with intention of using it for a girly layout as some of the range has really pretty floral designs... well I don't very often do girly designs, so here's a boy one!

Here is the sketch...

Here is my layout....

I'm not sure about the red paint???  I ended up going over it in white as I thought it looked a little too... gory?  Anyways, along with the Kaisercraft paint, I also used Kaisercraft tiny alphas, alpha stickers, buttons, ribbon and hessian.  I've also used Heidi Swapp paint (to get the Kaisercraft paint to match the letter stickers), Faber-Castell pen, Scrap FX chipboard and Bella! corkboard (turned over)... oh and machine stitching (for the first time EVER)!  Anyways thanks for stopping by and hope you are having a fabulous day xoxox

GYSO #7

Hi everyone!  Well blow me down... I got two layouts finished yesterday.  That has not happened in quite a while lol  Here is the second one...

I've used a sketch from Get Your Sketch On.  This came together so much faster than the previous layout that was days in making :-/   Sketches really are the way to go sometimes :-)  I'm not completely sure it's finished, maybe a little bling somewhere???  Oh well, it's very close anyway.  Hope you like it and thank you for taking the time to stop by xoxox

Scrapboxx Fortnightly Challenge

Hi!  Here is my latest layout for the fortnightly challenge over at The Scrapboxx.  I've regularly headed over to this sight to get inspiration and supplies for a long time... it's probably one of the first forums I ever signed up for.  There's so much awesome inspiration there, plus everyone's friendly and encouraging, which is nice now, and was even nicer when I was only just starting to scrap.  Anyways, the challenge was you had to include the word 'love' in your title as well as having lace and the colour red on your page.  Sounded easy enough and seemed to suit the photo of my grandparents on their wedding day.... well I really stuggled in the beginning with this layout, but I'm glad I kept at it.  I love the end result :-)
Also, just before I get a cuppa and try and finish my next layout, here's a photo I took using my new beaut DSLR... I'm still learning, but pretty cool hey!
