Happy Birthday Maddison!

Hiya!  On Wednesday my beautiful niece turns 6!  She's such a beautiful, caring and thoughtful little girl so I just had to make her a pretty card.  I've used a digital stamp from Karen's Doodles.  Here it is...

Now I just have to go shopping to find her a gift.  My Mum (aka Grandma) has bought her a fish tank, so I'm hoping to find her some nice ornaments to go in the bottom of it :-)

Speaking of birthdays... I just had my birthday last week (the big 3 - 0). I had a lovely few days. My actual birthday was fairly quiet. But I did get some flowers and drawings from my little boy when I picked him up from kinder (probably the sweetest thing that happened all day). On Friday I underwent a little bit of retail therapy with friends. We went to Paperific in Melbourne where I spent WAY too much money on Copics and chipboard. Then on Saturday I had a lovely lunch at the local pub with family, including an OH so delicious coffee and walnut cake... yummo! I'm one very lucky lady to have such beautiful friends and family!!! Anyways, there is a point to my ramblings... when we went for lunch on Saturday my two beautiful nieces, Maddison and Maya, gave me a little love heart book with all beautiful pictures they had drawn all by themselves. I won't show them all, but This one is from Maddison...

On the left is the Earth and planets.  She's drawn arrows so I know that the earth spins and has written 'I am' and then an arrow to show Australia (as she didn't know how to write 'Australian').  On the right side is a cow saying moo and also a bird with a comb like a hen, stripes like a tiger and a tail like a beaver.  OH MY GOODNESS!!!  I can you believe these pictures and the thought that went in to them came from one little nearly 6 year old.  She's one SUPER li'l girl!!!  Anyways, thanks for popping by and hope you are enjoying your day xoxox
