Mo's Challenge #101 - Autumn colours :-)

Good morning!  Just a really quick post before I head to bed for a bit of a nap as I worked night shift last night.  It's my hubby's birthday on Tuesday so I've made him a card (not that he gets particularly excited about his cards lol).  This morning was the only chance I was going to get so I made a cuppa and got busy.  I've used Mo's 'fishing' digital stamp.  My husband actually watched me colour this in yesterday... so the image won't even be a surprise, but oh well, it's the thought that counts :-)  Anyway, here it is --->

As you can see it's quite basic, but I'm running a bit short on time :-/  I'm happy with how it turned out all the same :-)  Do you like my water???  OMG!  I was a little daunted to begin with... but I kind of just kept adding colour until I was happyish... it definitely looks better from a distance LOL.  I'm going to enter this into the weekly challenge at Mo's Challenge Blog as it seems to fit well with the Autumn colour theme.  You can check out everyone else's beautiful work, including the design team's examples here!  Well that's it from me... I better get some sleep before Darren and the boys get home and before Grandpa gets here to join us for our roast dinner... YUM!  Thanks for stopping by xoxox

Dream Valley Challenge 16 - Buttons

Hi all!  Just a really quick post to show a card I made for my mother-in-laws birthday :-)  I used a cute little Kaisercraft stamp, my Copics and a beautiful button!  I also coloured around the image using my chalks (been a while since they've been out of the drawer) as my colourless blender ran out.  I'm going to enter it into the Dream Valley Challenge 16: Buttons... Now I'm not sure if it qualifies as I only have one 'button' not multiple 'buttons'.  Either way I needed to make the card and I'm rather happy with how it turned out :-)  Head over here to see the challenge, the design teams stunning examples and the other gorgeous entries xoxox

I'll also quickly show the card I helped my two beautiful boys make.  They absolutely LOVE their Nanny and were only to happy to draw her a picture.  Evan (5 1/2 y.o.)  drew the picture on the front, a cockatoo looking at flowers and a love heart (cockatoos are his thing atm... darling boy) and Royce (3 1/2 y.o.) drew the rainbow on the inside (it's the ONLY thing he will draw lol).  Evan also wrote 'Nanny' and 'Evan' on the inside... I'm so proud of his writing considering 12 months ago it was a struggle to get him to do any form of drawing or writing.
